If your child is afraid of going to bed alone, do not encourage them to come and lie in the bed with you. Make sure that they sleep in their own beds and reassure them that they are safe. You can even assign one of their stuffed animals to be a "bodyguard."

Do not make your a plate of food and then force them to eat everything that is on it. Encourage your child to take very small portions and finish them, then let them know that they can always have another portion if the first one wasn't enough.

Parents, you have homework to do prior your child's first day of school! Before the first school bell rings, be sure to make school seem like a fun place to be.
