James Avery

James LaRue Avery néven látta meg a napvilágot 1945. november 27-én Pughsville-ben, Virginia államban. Amerikai színész.

Kezdetek

Atlantic City-ben nőtt fel. 1968-1969 között az amerikai haditengerészetnél szolgált. Ezt követően a kaliforniai San Diego-ba költözött, ahol elkezdett verseket írni.

Karrier

A színészi karrierjét 1980-ban kezdte, mikor szerepet kapott a The Blues Brothers című filmben. 1986-ban megkapta Joe szerepét a The Ladies Club című filmben. 1986-1989-ig állandó szereplője volt a The Real Ghostbusters című televíziós sorozatnak.

1988-ban megkapta Winslow szerepét a Beauty and the Beast című sorozatban. 1994-ben szinkronszerepet kapott az Aladdin című sorozatban, amelyben a Haroud Hazi Bin nevű szereplőnek kölcsönözte a hangját. 1994-1995-ig szinkronizált a Iron Man című sorozatban.

1995-ben szerepet kapott a The Brady Bunch Movie című filmben, amelyben Mr. Steve Yeager szerepében csillogtathatta meg a színészi tehetségét.

2001-ben megkapta Eldon szerepét a Dr. Dolittle 2 című vígjátékban. 2004-ben szerepet kapott a Raise Your Voice című filmben, amelyben Mr. Gantry karakterét formálta meg. 2007-ben szerepelt a Who's Your Caddy? című filmben, amelyben a címszereplő Caddy Mack szerepét játszotta.

2008-ban szerepelt az Eli Stone című sorozat egyik epizódjában. 2012-ben egy epizód erejéig szerepelt a Grey's Anatomy című sorozatban, mint Sam.

2013-ban feltűnt a Call Me Crazy: A Five Film című televíziós filmben. 2014-ben jelent meg a Wish I Was Here című filmje.

Magánélet

1988-ban nősült meg Saját gyermekei nem voltak, de felesége fiát együtt nevelték.

Halála

2013. december 31-én hunyt el egy nyílt szívműtét közben a Glendale Memorial Medical Center-ben. A maradványait elhamvasztották és a Csendes-óceánba szórták. Nyugodjon békében!
