David Doyle

David Fitzgerald Doyle 1929. december 1-jén született Omahában, Nebraska államban, az Amerikai Egyesült Államokban. Édesanyja Mary Ruth Fitzgerald, édesapja Lewis Raymond Doyle ügyvéd. Anyai nagyapja, John Fitzgerald keimelkedő vasútépítő és bankár volt Nebraskában. 1947-ben érettségizett a Campion High Schoolban, Prairie du Chien-ben, Wisconsin államban.

KARRIER
Legismertebb karaktere John Bosley nyomozó a Charlie angyalai című televíziós sorozatból, melynek mind a 110 epizódjában szerepelt 1976 és 1981 között, vagyis amíg a sorozat futott. Jellegzetes rekedtes hangján ő szinkronizálta Lou Pickles nagypapát a Nickelodeonon futó Fecsegő tipegőkben, egészen haláláig. Utána Joe Alaskey vette át a szerepet.

A '70-es évek végén és a '80-as évek elején több alkalommal is feltűnt a Match Game című játékműsor vendégeként. Általában a felső sorban ült Brett Somers és Charles Nelson Reilly mellett. 1980-ban egy hétig vendégeskedett a Password Plusban, három hétig a Super Passwordben, 1982-ben pedig feleségével közösen jelent meg a Tattletales-ben.

Televíziós szerepei mellett kiemelkedő színpadi színész is volt. 1964-ben ő játszotta Orgont Richard Wilbur Tartuffe-feldolgozásában a milwaukee-i Fred Miller Színházban. Nővére, Mary Mulry Doyle alakította Doriszt, a szobalányt. A produkviót Steven Porter rendezte.

Élete során kétszer volt házas, első felesége Rachel, a második Anne Nathan Doyle. David 1997. február 26-én hunyt el szívrohamban, los angelesi otthonában.
