London: akik szeretik

Igazság szerint, nem ismerem a téma szabályait, de megtaláltam ezeket a képeket, és arra gondoltam, itt megosztanám veletek, hátha van rá érdeklődés.

Pont az előbb láttam a híradóban és rögtön megtetszett, bár biztos, hogy élőben még jobb lehetett. Köszi a képeket.
Nekem egyik ismerősöm volt kint nemrég és adott nagyon sok képet is, amik közül raknék is be párat, de valamiért nekem már lassan két hete nem működik a képfeltöltés.

Hát igen, szép volt, én is láttam a híradóban. Próbáltam elképzelni, milyen lehetett ez "testközelből", de képtelen vagyok rá. Én voltam többször is a Big Bennél, mondhatni közvetlenül ott, hallottam is a harangot, stb., de így le volt vajon zárva a pirotechnika miatt ott a környék, vagy hogy..?

Ma ezt a szépséget kaptam. Mivel csak 170 darab így már ki is raktam. Igazság szerint többet nem is vállalnék, nincsen az ilyesmihez türelmem. Azt még nem tudom, hogy hova fogom rakni, mert már nem sok hely van a falamon, de majd valahogy megoldom.

Kint láttam sok szép puzzle-t, jóval több darabosakat (is), de mivel nem tudnám hogy hazahozni... Tavaly egy gyönyörű albumot hagytam ott nevetséges pénzért, mert éreztem, hogy nem tudnám hová tenni.

Ez a baj az ilyen utazásokkal. Most karácsony előtt voltam Bécsben és annyi szép dolgot láttam, de nekem is pont ez volt a bajom, hogy nem tudtam volna hogy hazahozni. Ha kocsival mentünk volna akkor egyszerűbb lett volna, de mivel busszal mentünk, ráadásul két osztály, így nem volt túl sok hely.
Egyébként néha nálunk is lehet nagyon szép puzzle-t látni, csak sokszor olyan hajmeresztő áraik vannak, hogy csak lesek.

London tényleg nagyon szép, bár én inkább a skót tájakat kedvelem, de már többször is voltam Londonban, huzamosabb ideig is (2 hónap) és nagyon imádtam. Visszamennék

Hát igen. A repülőn is ott az a bizonyos limit. Pedig de jó dolgokat lehetne hazahozni nevetséges összegekért... 1-1 dolgot sikerül, de amúgy... Igen, kirakók is vannak nagyon szépek és persze sokszor olcsóbbak, mint idehaza. Én is többek között ezért nem vagyok nagy puzzle-gyűjtő/rakó, mert amik tényleg szépek, olyan drágák.

Én meg a türelmem hiánya miatt nem vagyok nagy kirakós. Na meg elég válogatós is vagyok képek terén, úgyhogy csak az igazán különlegeseket szoktam megvenni.
Nálunk sok dolog annyival drágább. Ugyan Bécsnél tovább még nem jutottam, de már ott sok minden olcsóbb volt, mint nálunk.

Tud valaki kint valamilyen jó kiállítást, esetleg múzeumot? Nem bírok magammal, lassan elkezdem megint tervezni a következő utat, de az mondjuk kérdéses, megyünk-e idén egyáltalán. Ha megyünk is, csak ősszel. Szóval ha tud valaki valami jó kiállítást akkortájt, esetleg olyan múzeumot, ami érdekes lehet (de mondjuk nem annyira populáris), az ne legyen rest és ossza meg velem.

Nem olyan rég egyébként jártam egy könyvesboltban, ahol több különböző 3D-s puzzle volt a polcon. Mind híres épületek, of course. Volt egy Big Ben is, de persze a legdrágábbak között. Hiába árazták le 9.500 forintról 7000-re, azért az elég sok. Novemberben a Hamley'sben is nézegettem őket, nagyon jól bírnak kinézni...

Hoztam 1-2 képet. Csak mert most ilyen vonatos-metrós hangulatban vagyok.

Most olvasom a Cutty Sark weboldalán, hogy idén tavasztól újra látogatható lesz a felújított clipper! Végre én is láthatom majd... Remélem addig nem ég le megint...

Találtam egy listát az ingyenes múzeumokról. Érdekel valakit? A nagyon populárisakat kihúztam (mint pl. British Museum), de akit hozzám hasonlóan érdekelnek a kevésbé felkapott érdekességek, az szóljon, és akkor beteszem ide a listát. De tényleg csak akkor.
Egyébként én meglepődtem, hogy mik vannak... Nem is hinné az ember...

Engem érdekelnének. Ha egyszer majd kijutok Londonba, akkor lehet, hogy majd jól jön a lista.

(Amennyiben valakit valamilyen látnivaló részletesebben érdekelne, annak talán tudok segíteni, főleg a populárisabbakat illetően, mert azok közül már mondhatni mindenhol jártam. Kész kis adatbázisom van a látnivalókról, azok pontos címéről, nyitvatartásáról és a belépők árairól (Itt nyilván pénzről nem beszélünk, bár néhány helyen kifejezetten van "Donate", szóval ott illik adni valamennyit, vagy illik venni tájékoztatófüzetkét. Például a National Army Museum is ilyen.).)

British Museum

Cuming Museum

Guildhall

It was the centre of the city's local government for 800 years. The Great Hall was fully restored after the Great Fire and the Blitz. There are also monuments to amongst others Mayor William Beckford, Wellington, Nelson, and Churchill.

Hampstead Museum / Burgh House

Museum of Childhood at Bethnal Green

The branch of the Victoria and Albert Museum has Toy collections, including dolls, dolls' houses, games and puppets of international range and importance. Also includes costumes and nursery antiques. Children's activities are held at weekends and holiday periods.

Museum of Fulham Palace

Visit London's Best Kept Secret. The Museum tells the story of this nationally important site. Displays include archaeology, social history and garden history. Art Cart with activities for children Ring for details of current events.

Museum of Garden History

Located in the 14th-century church of St Mary-at-Lambeth the Museum of Garden History aims to be the "first stop for garden enthusiasts". The garden contains the tomb of Admiral Bligh of Bounty fame.

Museum of London

The Museum of London Group represents over a quarter of a million years of history and includes over a million items.

National Army Museum

The history of the British army from 1415 to the end of the C 20th, includes fantastic display of military swords. At weekends, the National Army Museum galleries are brought to life by uniformed performers in role as soldiers from the past.

National Gallery

National Maritime Museum and Royal Observatory

The largest maritime museum in the world displays the history of Britain at sea. A huge collection - including unrivalled material on Nelson and Cook. Includes the 17th-century Queen's House and the Royal Observatory, Greenwich.

Natural History Museum

Visit the UK's national museum of nature and a centre of scientific excellence. The Natural History Museum maintains and develops the collections and uses them to promote discovery, understanding, responsible use and enjoyment of the natural world.

Petrie Museum of Egyptian Archaeology

The Petrie Museum is one of the largest and most inspiring collections of Egyptian archaeology anywhere in the world, illustrating life in the Nile Valley from prehistory, through Pharaonic to Roman and Islamic times. RAF Museum

RIBA

The Royal Hospital at Chelsea

Nagyon jó kis kortárs, ingyenes múzeum. Ezt sehol nem említették, úgyhogy én megteszem.

The Wellcome Collection

Belül nagyon szép (és kevésbé szép ) festményeket lehet megnézni. A mosdója pedig nagyon-nagyon elit és pöpec. Itt gyakran tartanak rendezvényeket, illetve esküvőket is.
